ZEISS has unveiled its new portfolio of ARTEVO ophthalmic microscopes at this year’s RANZCO congress in Adelaide.
In a release following the early November gathering, the company said the “prestigious event provided the perfect stage” for ZEISS to showcase the new equipment.
“Over the course of three days, the ZEISS team welcomed a large number of attendees to their booth, offering them hands-on exposure to the cutting-edge ARTEVO 750 and ARTEVO 850 devices,” it said.
The ARTEVO 850 captured attention with its “support for hybrid heads-up surgery, customisable 3D visualization, and the updated intraoperative OCT feature”.
Meanwhile, the ARTEVO 750, paired with the latest iteration of the CALLISTO eye cockpit, drew significant interest, the company said, “showcasing a commitment to enhancing surgical workflows across all specialties”.
During the congress, the ZEISS team hosted a number of clinical experts who shared their insights on these new technologies.
They included Dr Georgia Cleary and Dr Jay Yohendran on day one of the congress.
They offered insights into their early experiences with the ARTEVO 750 and Surgery Optimizer tool.
The next morning, during the ZEISS-hosted breakfast, Professor Andrew Chang and Dr John Chang spoke to a large audience about their experiences with the ZEISS portfolio in the surgical retina field, demonstrating the impact of new technologies across the retinal workflow.
The company encouraged others wanting further insights into the products showcased at the congress to get in touch at info.au@zeiss.com.
