ZEISS Australia and New Zealand has launched the ZEISS Refractive Workplace, a software solution offering comprehensive and integrated remote planning for laser vision correction procedures with the company’s refractive lasers.
Designed to support refractive laser treatment, the technology allows the user to conveniently and efficiently plan upcoming standard and premium procedures, ZEISS stated.
This includes lenticule extraction with SMILE pro and PRESBYOND from ZEISS, a software option for patients with presbyopia.
“It all adds up to a streamlined workflow that delivers enhanced efficiency and reduces the possibility of transcription errors,” the company said.
“There is no need to manually plan the treatment on the device. Even nomograms, created with VISULYZE from ZEISS, can be viewed and used within the next SMILE treatment planning.”
Refractive Workplace functions as part of ZEISS’ Medical Ecosystem with connectivity to FORUM, an ophthalmic data management system that gives ophthalmology practices access to patient diagnostics in one digital platform.
Refractive Workplace is described as a helpful tool for efficient planning with ZEISS’ VISUMAX 800 and MEL 90, which can be performed in clinical rooms away from the operating room.
