Ophthalmic equipment and lens company ZEISS is now offering a complete Kids Portfolio, comprising lenses that cater for the visual demands of an increasingly digital world and the company’s new myopia management spectacle lens designs.
The portfolio has been available since July 2023. Specifically, it encompasses ZEISS SmartLife Young lenses, which the company said are “are perfectly matched to young people’s digital, active and educational lifestyles”, as well as their age-related anatomical requirements.
The portfolio also includes ZEISS MyoCare lenses. Launched this year in Australia, they are age-related myopia management lenses that incorporate cylindrical microstructures to achieve simultaneous competing myopic defocus and a clear zone to optimise central vision.
ZEISS SmartLife Young lenses are recommended for children and young adults aged 6-19 years.
Meanwhile, ZEISS MyoCare lenses are recommended to children younger than 10 years, and ZEISS MyoCare S lenses recommended to children 10 years and older.
