Ms Fitzsimons has been division manager of Zeiss Vision Care business since October 2014, a position she will continue to hold, in addition to the managing director role of Carl Zeiss Pty Ltd, Carl Zeiss Vision Australia Holdings and Carl Zeiss (NZ) Ltd.Holding a masters of chical and mechanical engineering from Germany as well as an MBA from University of South Australia, Ms Fitzsimmons’ background with Zeiss spans research and development, product commercialisation, global project managent, technology development and new product development.She is also actively engaged in career-development workshops for young professionals in Australia and holds guest lectures on customer focused product commercialisation.Mr Redner, the previous Zeiss managing director for Australasia, has accepted the position of president of sales and service at Carl Zeiss Meditec Inc in the United States.
