Volk Optical is celebrating a major milestone in ophthalmic visualisation with the launch of its 50th Anniversary Lens Collection.

Available through Designs For Vision, part of ParagonCare, the limited-edition series features lenses “adorned in a striking champagne-gold colour, symbolising five decades of innovation and excellence in eyecare technology”.

The collection is designed to not only pay tribute to Volk’s legacy but also a commitment to enhancing diagnostic precision for eyecare professionals.

The 50th Anniversary Lens Collection includes a range of specialised lenses designed for various ophthalmic applications, such as the Classic Series, Super Series, and Digital Series. Each lens is crafted to provide superior visualisation, ensuring that eyecare providers can deliver optimal patient outcomes. Notable features include:

  • Classic Series: Includes popular models like the 90D and 78D lenses, ideal for general examinations.
  • Super Series: Features advanced lenses such as the Pan Retinal 2.2 and Super Field lenses, which enhance field of view and imaging capabilities.
  • Digital Series: Offers high-resolution options like the Digital Wide Field and Digital High Mag lenses, perfect for detailed diagnostic imaging.

“These lenses are designed to meet the diverse needs of practitioners, from routine check-ups to complex retinal examinations,” a press release stated.

“For instance, the Volk 20D BIO Lens provides a 46° field of view with 3.13x image magnification, making it suitable for general diagnostics, while the Digital Wide Field Lens boasts an impressive 103° field of view for comprehensive assessments.”

Volk said its dedication to quality is evident in its use of cutting-edge technology in lens manufacturing. The anniversary collection not only showcases aesthetic appeal but aims to reflect the company’s commitment to enhancing visualisation tools that empower eyecare professionals.

In addition to the anniversary lenses, Volk has introduced VIVA, a non-mydriatic handheld retina camera designed to further enhance diagnostic capabilities.

“This new tool exemplifies Volk’s ongoing efforts to push boundaries in ophthalmic technology while ensuring that practitioners have access to state-of-the-art resources,” the company said.

The 50th Anniversary Lens Collection is available for a limited time.
