Design Eyewear Group (DEG) has appointed VMD Eyewear as the exclusive distributor of Jaguar Eyewear in Australia.
Just last month, DEG, the Danish company behind many iconic eyewear brands found in Australian independent optical practices, acquired the Menrad brand and secured licensing agreements with Jaguar, JOOP!, and Morgan.
The move followed the insolvency of Menrad, a German eyewear manufacturer that previously held licences for a number of eyewear labels.
It marked a significant step in expanding DEG’s brand portfolio and global market reach.
As part of this expansion, it has named VMD Eyewear (Vision Marketing & Distribution) as the exclusive distributor of Jaguar Eyewear in Australia, effective immediately.
A media release from DEG said that VMD’s long-standing reputation in the Australian eyewear industry and market expertise made it an ideal partner to drive growth and visibility for Jaguar Eyewear in the region.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Jaguar Eyewear brand into the Design Eyewear Group family,” said DEG CEO Mr Lars Flyvholm.
Jaguar Eyewear, inspired by the sleek elegance and sporty precision of the Jaguar automotive legacy, is known for its sophisticated design, high-quality materials, and innovative engineering.
VMD will oversee sales, marketing, and customer support for Jaguar Eyewear across the Australian market.
“We are honoured to be entrusted to continue with the distribution of such a prestigious brand,” said Mr Philip Crabtree, general manager of VMD Australia.
“Jaguar Eyewear is a natural fit for the Australian consumer who appreciates craftsmanship, innovation, and style.”
