The VF2000 NEO, a virtual reality visual field device recently imported into Australia by BOC Ophthalmic Instruments, achieved first prize for the Optical Distributors and Manufacturers Association (ODMA) 2023 Awards of Excellence in the Optical Equipment category in September 2023.
The VF2000 NEO features gaze tracking and AI virtual assistance to ensure unprecedented accuracy and patient comfort, according to the company.
The device is developed by Micro Medical Devices and provides a range of visual field tests including fast threshold VF, FDT, neuro, kinetic, ptosis and Esterman tests.
BOC said this technology provides the same reliable standard of visual field analysis and is ‘Gold Standard’ Visual Field compliant with identical report format.
The technology also offers a broad range of additional test options such as visual acuity, contrast sensitivity, colour testing – ishihara, D15 and advanced colour tests, stereopsis testing, eye mobility and strabismus.
The VF2000 NEO is supplied complete with a tablet PC. Test results are stored and accessed from the tablet and automatically uploaded to the cloud which can be retrieved on any PC through the Micromedinc portal.
The instrument can also be used anywhere and does not require a dedicated space or darkened room for use.
