Vision Eye Institute (VEI) says its SHARED VISION education program continued to strengthen clinical links with its referrer network in 2025, delivering a year of professional development activities focused on collaborative eyecare.
According to VEI, the program delivered 32 CPD events across Australia during the year, engaging 2,225 optometry referrers and providing a total of 40 hours of accredited education. The sessions covered clinical updates, case discussions, new treatment approaches and emerging technologies, with the aim of supporting evidence-based practice and patient management.
VEI said demand for professional learning through the program remained strong, with 178 new referrers joining SHARED VISION in 2025. Total membership reportedly grew to 4,366 optometrists nationwide.
The institute also reported positive feedback from participants, citing an overall Net Promoter Score of 84 for the program in 2025. VEI described this as a “world-class” result and said it reflected referrers’ confidence in the educational content delivered by its ophthalmologists and clinical teams.
VEI noted that the program’s mix of in-person events, interactive discussions and online learning options was designed to give referrers flexibility to engage with education in formats that suited their workloads and preferences.
Looking ahead, VEI said SHARED VISION would continue to be a central part of its approach to clinical education and professional partnership in 2026. Vision Eye Institute said optometrists interested in collaborating on CPD events or educational sessions, or in arranging practice visits or placements at its clinics or day hospitals, can contact the SHARED VISION team via email.
The institute also noted that SHARED VISION membership is free to join.
