ODMAFair25 has just got a little bigger, with Optometry NSW/ACT announcing that it will be holding its Super Sunday event at the same venue and during the same dates.
ODMA CEO Ms Amanda Trotman said she was “very focused on collaboration that assists like-minded optical organisations to work together to stage these valuable live events whilst at the same time reducing overall overheads given the economies of scale and the high cost of staging live events”.
“These events running alongside each other helps attract attendance to all the components, which benefits us all,” she said.
Super Sunday, organised by Optometry NSW/ACT, will be held on Sunday 29 June at the International Convention Centre at Sydney’s Darling Harbour, under the same roof as ODMAFair25.
Mr Andrew McKinnon, CEO of Optometry NSW/ACT, said putting ODMAFair and Super Sunday together under the ICC roof gives optometrists from across Australia the best possible reason to spend the weekend in Sydney.
“ODMAFair is, of course, the premier optical fair in the southern hemisphere and Super Sunday provides optometrists with an unparalleled opportunity to obtain a significant number of their CPD hours in a single day,” he said.
Trotman said a lot of work was going into the program format to ensure streams and sessions did not conflict with each other.
ODMA was also ensuring there were sessions for all team members within a practice, and “there was ample time for all visitors to explore what will be a large and valuable product and service showcase in the nearby trade fair halls”.
