Tokai Optical’s Polar series of polarised lenses, available in 14 colours that combine fashion and optical performance, provide wearers with options that fit their lifestyle and purpose, the lens company says.
The series consists of six basic colour groups – grey, brown, blue, green, purple, and yellow – and a neutral colour group.
Each colour group has a key function, according to Tokai Optical.
“The grey group is less likely to change in colour tone, the brown group increases the contrast and the blue group captures much short-wavelength light and makes the blue colour look vivid,” the company said.
“The green group reduces the colour change and ensures a natural vision by allowing medium-wavelength light through evenly. The purple group clarifies the boundary between colours. The yellow group captures more long-wavelength light and ensures a bright field of vision.”
The neutral group combines Tokai’s Natural Colour Coating (NCC) technology to absorb visible light evenly and provide the wearers a minimum colour distortion.
“Polarised sunglasses have a unique ability to cut the reflected glare from water, roads or other surfaces,” the company said.
“With 14 colour options, Tokai Polar is a great range to match the requirements for both fashion and optical performance. There are many benefits to wearing Tokai polarised sunglasses such as daytime driving safety, fishing and boating, and golfing, not only giving wearers comfortable and clear vision. Tokai’s polarised lenses also enhance colour contrast outdoors.”
