RANZCO’s 54th Congress will offer attendees the opportunity to partake in optional early morning activities for relaxation, acceleration, adventure and peace-of-mind.
The event, taking place at Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) from 20-23 October, will host early morning activities each day except on 20 October.
The first of these early morning activities is a meditation session with Ms Emma Pugsley, owner and founder of Myall Wellbeing on Saturday 21 October.
Following a corporate career spanning more than 29 years in senior finance roles, she has with first-hand experience of how the sedentary and demanding nature of the ‘strive to survive’ mindset can negatively impact health and wellbeing.
Pugsley started Myall in 2019 primarily to provide support to busy working people, offering private and bespoke yoga and wellbeing sessions and workshops. Further she will provide guidance on practising mindfulness and how this is beneficial to overall physical, mental and emotional wellbeing for improved productivity.
The morning of Sunday 22 October will feature a hula hoop class with Happy Healthy Hoops when congress delegates can invigorate, improve coordination and enhance flexibility.
“Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced hooper, Happy Healthy Hoops will guide you through each move, ensuring a fun and engaging experience,” the college said.
Alternatively, Sunday morning will feature the Lap of the River guided bike ride with Western Australian ophthalmologists Dr Russell Townsend and Dr Chee Hoong Khong, suitable for intermediate level cyclists.
The final morning offering will be a stretch and release session with Featherstone Physio Pilates. The session will focus on whole body movement, incorporating active and passive stretching of muscles to improve flexibility, mobility and posture.
Attendees also have the choice to partake in a guided riverside walk with Practice Manager Ms Fiona Wong.
