Melbourne-based distributor Sunglass Collective has been lauded for its outstanding customer service, winning the 2021 Australian Achiever Award in the Optical Services and Supplies business category.
Established in 2020 by siblings Mark and Lisa Wymond, Sunglass Collective is an Australian optical wholesale business, providing a wide range of quality and affordable sunglass eyewear to businesses throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Lisa Wymond said they are thrilled to receive the award.
“We take pride in providing excellent product and customer service. We are absolutely delighted that our lovely customers have recognised us in this way,” she said.
The Wymonds also own eyewear businesses Eyes Right Optical and Modstyle.
Modstyle was crowned national winner in customer service in the Optical Services and Supplies business category in the 2020 Australian Achiever Awards.
Now in its 24th year, the Australian Achiever Awards are an independent award system based on assessment ratings from a business’s own customers.
The award focuses on eight criteria: time related service, addressing client needs, care and attention, value, attitude, communication, perception and referral.
The criteria are rated individually in percentage terms and the final score is an amalgam of these.
Sunglass Collective achieved a 98% overall score for customer service and relations, topping all other Optical Services and Supplies business applicants to become the national winner.
Sunglass Collective customers praised the company for its faultless service.
“It does not matter whether I am contacting the staff in the office or one of the representatives, they are always completely helpful, polite, and easy to deal with. Sunglass Collective are doing everything they should be doing, I cannot fault them,” a customer commented.
Another said: “For such a large business, Sunglass Collective operates like a small business when it comes to customer relations. They offer a very personalised experience and treat us as more than just another customer.”
Modstyle, Eyes Right Optical and Sunglass Collective operations are all based out of Scoresby in south-east Melbourne.
