Speaking for the company, business development director Mr Darrel Magna said: “We are very pleased to announce that we will open 30 new Specsavers practices in the coming 12 months, an increase of more than 10 per cent on our current Australian network.
“Hand-in-hand with such a large number of new store openings will come partnership and ployment opportunities right across Australia.
We’re looking for optometrists and retail managers to join us as store co-owners; we looking for ployee optometrists and great retail staff too.”
Explaining that the new stores openings are in response to continuing growth in consumer dand, Mr Magna said: “Double-digit revenue growth has continued through 2011 and into 2012 and so now is the time to expand our network of practices – to satisfy growing dand and to ensure that our stores are easily accessible to all communities.”
Since Specsavers opened its first Australian stores in February 2008, the company has opened more than 260 stores across Australia and more than 50 in New Zealand.
