More than 100,000 spectacles collected through a Specsavers glasses recycling program have been donated to Tongans in need.
The company recently worked with Her Royal Highness Princess Lātūfuipeka Tukuʻaho, Lions Recycle for Sight and Ms Defini Tau’alupe-Tai from Specsavers Belconnen, ACT, to send the pairs of quality-tested and pre-owned glasses to the Pacific island nation with a population of around 105,000.
The glasses were collected through Specsavers’ glasses recycling program and will be gifted to those who might not have had access otherwise.
Her Royal Highness would like to say mālō ‘aupito (thank you in English) for the help and generosity.
