Cox, Board Certified Residency Trained Optometrist who established Visibility Optics}}In an interview with a local newspaper, Chad said Vizzi could map 70 points on a person’s face and then select five appropriate eyewear options for th.“There’s a proper way, even a style science of sorts, in which glasses are good for, say, a round face,” he said.The business model is being piloted in Steven’s optometry practice. The office currently carries 120 branded frames – 100 optical frames and 20 sunglass styles – all of which are fed into the software syst.The next step is to install kiosks within other optometrist offices and, with the use of an iPad, allow customers to have their faces assessed by Vizzi.“Online eyewear hasn’t taken off because you don’t have the ability to really try something on first and we’re trying to combine the best of both worlds – try it online and be confident you will buy a pair of glasses that actually fit,” Steven said.The brothers are already planning to have their own collection of eyewear and have identified a manufacturer to produce it, while they have also ventured into 3D printing to try and customise frames without the need for an inventory.Chad added that once the company establishes pricing standards, it will promote the technology to optometrists as a way to improve sales for traditional bricks and mortar outlets and online retailers.
