ZEISS has introduceed single-use lenses for the RESIGHT fundus viewing system, enhancing intraoperative retina visualisation in posterior segment surgeries.
The company said these disposable lenses offered high-resolution views of the far periphery with “excellent” light transmission, allowing operations under reduced illumination intensity.
The Macula Lens is designed to provide high magnification and enhanced contrast for improved fundus visualisation during macula surgery.
It maintains a non-contact position with the cornea to offer improved instrument visibility and reduced fogging, ZEISS said.
The Wide-Angle Lens is versatile across various peripheral posterior segment procedures, eliminating the need for lens switching.
“It ensures excellent visualisation with a wide-angled, high-resolution view while effectively preventing condensation for uninterrupted clarity,” ZEISS said.
Finally, the Ultra Wide-Angle Lens boasts the widest field of view, enabling visualisation up to the ora serrata and reducing the need for tilting and scleral indentation.
“Its cone-shaped design integrates seamlessly into the surgical environment, offering unobstructed instrument access,” the company stated.
“These lenses collectively enhance surgical precision by providing superior visualisation and minimising common issues like fogging and limited field of view.”
