CR Labs has announced the development of its new Satin+ coatings range, a comprehensive suite of high-performance coatings designed in Australia.
In a statement, the Melbourne-based lens manufacturer said the new lenses were designed to suit the evolving needs of today’s independent practices and their patients.

The Satin+ range consists of six different coatings.
Satin+ Premium Anti-Reflective (AR) is the foundation of the range – a virtually invisible lens that minimises reflection, repels dirt and water, resists scratches, and offers full UV protection.
The company said it would be perfect for everyday wearers wanting the highest visual clarity with lasting durability.
Satin+Blue combines the benefit of anti-reflective technology with advanced blue light filtration. Ideal for digital users and office workers, it helps reduce glare and visual stress while preserving natural benefits of blue light for circadian health and alertness.
Satin+Night is engineered for after-dark clarity. By filtering specific wavelengths of blue light while minimising glare, it enhances contrast and reduces visual discomfort during driving – especially for those with night myopia or light sensitivity.
Satin+Vogue is where fashion meets function, says the company. This premium anti-reflective coating offers all the performance benefits of Satin+AR with a refined pink hue – designed for patients who want their lenses to look as good as they perform.
Satin+Mirror is a bold statement in both performance and style. Available in six sleek shades (Sun Gold, Ocean Blue, Burnt Sand, Reef Green, Desert Red, and Quick Silver), this mirror coating reflects light, enhances visual comfort in bright conditions, and elevates the aesthetic of any sunglass or outdoor lens.
Satin+Flash was developed for those who prefer a subtle, fashion-forward edge. It adds a delicate mirror finish available in Gold, Silver, or Blue – offering visual clarity and sophisticated glimmer in one elegant lens.
On the research behind the range, Ms Sai Kandibanda, CR Labs’ professional service manager, said the development of Satin+ came directly from industry insight and clinical observations.
