Stuart Weitzman has expanded its global luxury brand footprint with a first eyewear collection available to Australian independent optical practices through Safilo.
Since 1986, New York City-based brand has refined the art of shoemaking while at the same time building out its “fashion-meets-function” lifestyle assortment to feature handbags and men’s footwear.
Now with the new Stuart Weitzman Eyewear Collection, it’s hoping to make an impact in the optical sector.
Stuart Weitzman is renowned for “signature artisanal craftsmanship and precise engineering”, Safilo said.
“In line with the brand’s DNA, the new Stuart Weitzman Eyewear Collection seamlessly melds style, comfort and quality,” the company said.
“Each piece is meticulously designed in the US and crafted in Italy to inspire women with strength and confidence. From striking statement pieces that combine high-fashion and innovative functionality to minimalist, sophisticated styles that exude modern elegance, the collection offers a look for any outfit and occasion.”
Founder Mr Stuart Weitzman, born in 1941 on Long Island, New York, learned the craft from his father before launching the label in 1986.
“The brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and forward-thinking design continues to set trends,” Safilo said.
“In the dreamscape of Stuart Weitzman, meticulous craftsmanship merges with empathetic design, while trend-setting agility intertwines with bold innovation. These pillars shape a journey that continuously redefines luxury, casting a vision that inspires and captivates the hearts of its audience.”
To help practices understand the key demographic, the brand has developed the concept of the ‘Stuart Weitzman Woman’.
She’s referred to as a self-styled sophisticate, is strong, bold and ambitious.
“Confident in herself and in her success, she knows just what she wants and is ready to step up for anything she sets her mind to. She’s a multifaceted multi-tasker, equally focused on her career and on self-enrichment outside of work to round out her rich, fulfilling lifestyle,” Safilo stated.
“As such, she favours timelessness, versatility and quality in her shoes and eyewear, seeking out pieces that can keep up with her every bold move.”
The new Stuart Weitzman collection is supported with new advertising images and in-store display assets, including showcards and banners.
