As the 54th RANZCO Congress heads to Western Australia in 2023, organisers have announced a shortened program after considering feedback from delegates.
Australian ophthalmology’s marquee event is taking place 20-23 October 2023 (Friday to Monday) at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
“As well as exemplary keynote speakers, amazing courses, professional development content, ample networking time and an array of exciting social events, the jam-packed nature of congress is ensured with the event finishing a half-day sooner than usual,” the college said.
“Many of you may have noticed that Tuesday is not as popular as the other days. The board have been monitoring this and have agreed to finish the Congress on the Monday afternoon.”
For those wishing to stay longer, the congress will feature a Monday evening drinks and options like a golf day or ANZEF’s three day Cape-to-Cape fundraising walk.
Meanwhile, on Friday 27 January 2023, RANZCO opened the call for people to submit abstracts and presentations. The call closes on 10 March.
With an eye to the future, the college also issued a call for speakers for the 2024 congress from 20 January 2023, which will take place in Adelaide.
