ProVision has announced Mr Tony Jones, who has been part of the organisation for a decade, as its new CEO.
In the middle of 2022, the board asked Jones, then merchandise manager, to assume the CEO role in an acting capacity.
Ms Rowena Beckenham, recently appointed chair of ProVision’s board of directors, said the board unanimously agreed to appoint Jones as its new CEO.
“Tony has led the team in the interim CEO role over the past six months demonstrating a strong commitment to the values of ProVision,” she said.
“He possesses a unique skillset that we believe will support the culture of the business for staff and members, and champion the ongoing strategic initiatives of the group.”
Beckenham said Jones’ understanding of ProVision, the broader optical industry and the independent landscape will be key to ProVision’s future success.
“We commend Tony for his enthusiasm for the cause of independent optometry and look forward to working closely with him.”
He replaces Ms Frances Mirabelli.
