Insight has been acquired by Prime Creative Media, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the publication’s long-running history.
The print publication, which has been Australia’s leading ophthalmic magazine since 1975, and its digital platforms are now being operated out of Prime Creative Media’s Melbourne office.
“Our success has been built on the success and growth of our clients, and we appreciate the opportunity to serve the ophthalmic industry, applying our purpose of growing individuals, organisations and industries,” Mr John Murphy, CEO Prime Creative Media, said.
Current editorial team members Callum Glennen and Myles Hume will remain on the publication, having joined Prime Creative Media. Experienced B2B media professional Julia Austin has also joined Insight as business development manager.
“We have been working in partnership with Gunnamatta Media to make the transition as smooth as possible for our advertisers and our readers,” Murphy said.
“We will be continuing to build upon the work of Gunnamatta Media, with further investments into the brand, including a new digital platform that will be launched in the coming weeks.”
Prime Creative Media is Australia’s leading B2B publisher, producing more than 27 mastheads, 80+ digital platforms, and dozens of major industry events. With offices in both Melbourne and Sydney, Prime Creative Media focuses on high growth industries including advanced manufacturing, transportation, food and beverage, infrastructure and resources, and commercial road transport. The company’s acquisition of Insight represents its first entry into the healthcare sector.
