Revo, the performance eyewear company known for its high-quality polarised sunglasses, has announced the launch of Revo Australia.
A media release said the venture represents “a significant milestone for Revo as it celebrates its 40th anniversary, signalling the brand’s continued commitment to innovation, growth, and delivering premium eyewear to customers globally”.
Revo Australia will be led by industry veteran Mr Richard Hoare, who has 30 years of experience in the optical industry, including 16 years as vice-president of Maui Jim for the APAC region, where he oversaw sales and operations across six regional offices, including Australia, Hong Kong, Dubai, China, India, and South Africa.
“As Revo celebrates its 40th anniversary, we’re pleased to expand our footprint in the APAC region through this strategic joint venture,” said Mr Cliff Robinson, CEO of Revo.
“Australia is a key market for premium polarised sunglasses, with high demand for quality sunwear and a discerning customer base.
“By partnering with industry leaders like Richard, we’re positioning Revo to connect more closely with customers while expanding our reach across Australia, New Zealand, and the broader Pacific Rim markets.”
The release said the new entity would oversee all sales and customer care for the region, with a focus on establishing Revo as a top choice for consumers in Australia and Southeast Asia.
“I’m excited to be part of this joint venture and help bring Revo’s rich history and NASA-based lens technology to the APAC region,” said Hoare, who will be managing director of Revo Australia.
“Revo customers are fiercely loyal, and we see immense opportunity for growth in this market and are eager to build on the passion that consumers already feel for the brand.”
