Monica Lette – SeeWay
Respected optometrist Monica Lette has recently joined SeeWay, a new subsidiary brand of Guide Dogs NSW, as Business Development Manager. With experience working across optometric and ophthalmic practices, many will know her from more recent roles within the industry involving referrer relations and professional development management. In this newly created role, she will provide support to practitioners and strategic partners to enable their low vision patients to use SeeWay’s online support network, designed to complement practitioner’s patient care. SeeWay’s online support network helps to “create connection, build confidence and open the way to a life full of choice, becoming a trusted guide for those living with low vision”.
Anne-Marie McNally – ACBO
The ACBO has appointed Anne-Marie McNally as its new chief executive officer. McNally is an experienced leader with over 20 years in senior management roles across member associations, international education, government, and private sectors. Most recently she was Head of Learning for Growth Faculty, and has executive experience with Family Business Association, the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Financial Planning Association, and the Governance Institute of Australia. She replaces Steve Leslie, who is retiring from the position after five years. He will continue with ACBO in his new capacity as Optometric Advisor.
Vision 2020 Australia
Vision 2020 Australia policy and advocacy manager Fabrizio D’Esposito left the organisation at the end of August.
He has now joined the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness as head of region, Western Pacific. D’Esposito will remain engaged with Vision 2020 Australia in his new role.
Current Vision 2020 Australia policy advisor Jonathan Craig, who is well-known and respected across the membership, has been promoted as D’Esposito’s successor as policy and advocacy manager.
Corey Crawford joins the team as Craig’s replacement, and he brings a wealth of experience from his previous role at Blind Citizens Australia.
Alex Rigby – Rodenstock Australia
Alex Rigby will be progressing into the Professional Services role at Rodenstock Australia over the coming months. As an optometrist with more than 20 years’ experience, he is excited to be taking this next step within the company. He also hold qualifications as a dispensing optician and began his career working in lens manufacture.
Shannon Morrow – CooperVision
Shannon Morrow has been appointed to the role of Head of Communications, APAC, at CooperVision. In this newly created role, she will be responsible for building the reputation of the CooperVision brand with external and internal audiences, driving master brand communications, campaigns and ESG initiatives with customers, industry and the public, and supporting the APAC leadership team with communications and team engagement programs. Morrow was previously Marketing Communications Manager for CooperVision ANZ.
