Penny Stewart – Alcon
Alcon ANZ has announced the appointment of Penny Stewart to lead its Surgical Franchise in Australia and New Zealand. Stewart commenced her role on October 24, 2022 with the title Cluster Franchise Head, Surgical and Country Manager ANZ. She has over 25 years’ experience in medical device companies roles at Abbott, Phillips and Becton Dickinson, Roche Diagnostics and Biorad Laboratories. Most recently, she held the role of General Manager for Abbott’s Structural Heart franchise. “Joining the world’s leading eye health company and heading Alcon’s surgical franchise in ANZ is a wonderful honour. I am looking forward to meeting with ANZ eye health care professionals and continuing the outstanding reputation that Alcon has for customer centricity and excellence in product innovation in ocular care and health,” she said.
Karen Fowler – Alcon
Karen Fowler has been promoted to the position of Head, Commercial Operations and Strategic Projects, Surgical, APAC at Alcon. She was previously Country Franchise Head, Surgical & Country Manager for the Australia and New Zealand Cluster, a position she held for just short of three years. According to her Linkedin, she has been with the company for more than 25 years.
