Andy Young – HOYA
Andy Young has joined HOYA as a Sales Consultant, expanding the HOYA Victoria team. Young is a qualified optical dispenser with more than 25 years’ experience in retail optics, optical lens fitting and optical practice management, in a career spanning the UK, Australia and New Zealand. He looks forward to incorporating his vast optical experience in supporting and growing business for his Victorian customers.
Malaty Kittikhoun – Glaukos
Malaty Kittikhoun has been promoted to Marketing Director, Asia-Pacific (APAC). She started with Glaukos as a consultant in 2017 before joining full time in 2018 as Marketing Manager for Australia and New Zealand. As Marketing Director, APAC, Kittikhoun will have increased responsibilities that will help to expand Glaukos’s presence in key markets by working closely with distribution partners. Kittikhoun also serves as a member of the Glaukos Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Forum and has done so since its inception.
Stephanie Bahler – Alcon
Stephanie Bahler has joined Alcon as a Surgical Glaucoma Specialist in WA. She is an optometrist with almost 20 years of experience across clinical, management and business commercial roles. She is currently the President of Optometry WA. Her recent role as a surgical territory manager has strengthened her relationships with ophthalmologists and hospital settings within WA. Bahler’s industry experience, coupled with her passion for community eye health, has provided her with the solid foundation to support the ophthalmic surgical setting.
Sujan Hong – Alcon
Sujan Hong is transitioning from Professional Education & Development Manager at Alcon Vision Care to Surgical Glaucoma Specialist with Alcon Surgical from 1 May. She will be looking after Hydrus sales and surgeon training in NSW. She is an optometrist and has been with Alcon Vision Care for five years, educating optometrists and allied health professionals on dry eye management and contact lenses. She brings varying experience,including management in IT and is a current member of the CCLSA NSW committee.
Nicole Jonker – Safilo
Safilo has recently appointed Nicole Jonker as its newest Sales Representative in the Victorian team. With a passion for quality and fashionable eyewear, Jonker has six years’ experience in the optical industry and during this time has developed a deep understanding of the needs and preferences of patients. She is excited to use her knowledge of latest trends and technologies in eyewear to assist customers in choosing the right eyewear to meet their patient needs. Jonker is managing the following brands: Kate Spade, Under Armour, Missoni, Moschino, Moschino Love, Fossil.
Jared Weston – Safilo
Nicole Jonker’s recent appointment further strengthens Safilo’s already strong Victorian team, following the appointment of Jared Weston towards the end of 2022. Weston joined Safilo after more than 17 years as a highly skilled optical dispenser. As a trusted advisor in the industry, Weston can leverage his extensive expertise to help independent optometrists select the right frame for their patients and, in turn, grow their businesses. He is managing the following brands: Carrera, BOSS, Polaroid, Seventh Street, Smith, Havaianas.
Zoe Levendakis – Safilo
Zoe Levendakis joined Safilo’s Victorian sales team earlier this year. Levendakis has brought with her a wealth of knowledge, gained during her more than 18 years as an optical dispenser. Levendakis is driven by a desire to match her customer’s requirements with the correct brand and product selection, based on their patient’s style preferences and eyewear requirements. She is managing the following brands: Carolina Herrera, David Beckham Eyewear, Isabel Marant, Jimmy Choo, Rag & Bone.
