Brent Saunders – Bausch + Lomb
Bausch + Lomb has appointed Brent Saunders as its new CEO and Board Chair, effective 6 March 2023. He returns to Bausch + Lomb after having served at the company as CEO from 2010 to 2013. In total, he brings more than 25 years of leadership in healthcare, having served in president, CEO and chairman roles, among others, at several global pharmaceutical and health care companies, including Schering-Plough Corporation, Forest Laboratories Inc., Actavis plc, Allergan plc and The Beauty Health Company.
Rob Boelen – ProVision
Rob Boelen is now ProVision’s new Merchandise Manager, a position previously held by now-CEO Tony Jones. He has an extensive background in the optical industry and, as a qualified dispenser and ex-practice manager, is well-versed in the needs of independent practices. His experience includes roles in regional operations at Big W Optical and three years as head of product and partnerships at Bupa.
Anne Duggan – ACSQHC
The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care has appointed Conjoint Professor Anne Duggan as its new CEO. Duggan has more than 30 years’ experience in the health sector and will take on the role of CEO from Monday 27 March 2023. As Chief Medical Officer of the commission since 2021, and previously, clinical director and senior medical advisor from 2014, the commission said she was well positioned to lead at a time when the safety and quality of healthcare is a national priority. Duggan succeeds Adjunct Professor Debora Picone AO, who retired in September 2022 and was CEO from 2012.
