Dominic Savill – Specsavers
Dominic Savill has been appointed trading director for Specsavers ANZ. After leading Specsavers’ retail team for more than a decade, Savill brings a great deal of knowledge and experience to the role as well as his renowned passion and enthusiasm for customers and partners. Savill’s trading remit has been expanded to include marketing, product, professional communications, growth opportunities and he will continue to oversee the business development and professional recruitment functions. Specsavers’ outgoing trading director Jane Joban has been promoted to managing director of optics for Specsavers Canada.
Mariah Nikolaidis – Mondotticca
New Mondottica sales representative Mariah Nikolaidis brings 17 years of experience in the optical industry, spanning premium retail, dispensing and wholesale support. While at Eyes Optometrists in Richmond, she qualified as an Optical Dispenser through RMIT in 2012 and developed strong expertise in eyewear, patient care and sales performance. More recently, Nikolaidis worked with Rodenstock Australia, providing B2B support to independent optometrists. She is recognised for her relationship-driven approach, strong product knowledge, and genuine commitment to supporting her customers and industry partners.
Lily Wegrzynowski – Eyecare Plus
Lily Wegrzynowski will step up as general manager of Eyecare Plus following the retirement of Philip Rose on June 30, after 18 years with the organisation. Wegrzynowski, an experienced optometrist and senior executive with more than two decades in leadership roles across independent and corporate optometry, joined Eyecare Plus in August 2025. She has also held clinical, management, and board positions within the sector. In her new role, she will focus on supporting independent optometrists and strengthening the organisation’s collaborative culture. Recruitment for a new business development manager is set to begin following the transition.
Mark Grey – Vision Australia
Vision Australia has appointed Mark Grey as board chair. Grey brings more than 35 years of leadership and governance experience across sectors including marketing, healthcare and disability and social services. Grey has lived experience of vision loss and is currently chair of General Practice Registrars Australia (GPRA), and chair of St Giles Disability services in Tasmania. He is also a director of the Public Trustee and a director of the Australian Society of Ophthalmologists. He is a former Chair of MND Australia and former Director of Guide Dogs.
