William Diloi – HOYA
William Diloi has joined HOYA as a Queensland Sales Consultant. The company says his extensive knowledge within the optical wholesale and retail markets, along with ongoing qualifications in optical dispensing, have him well-positioned to support and grow his Queensland customers’ businesses.
Kate Taylor – iCare
Oculo co-founder and former CEO Dr Kate Taylor is starting a new position within iCare as Vice President Strategy and Business Development. Finnish ophthalmic diagnostics company Revenio – which supplies ophthalmic devices under the iCare brand – acquired Oculo in 2021. Taylor commenced as Vice President Eye Care Solutions at iCare in 2021.
Jeremiah Lim – The University of Western Australia
Jeremiah Lim has recently started a new position as Optometry Senior Lecturer at The University of Western Australia. It comes after the institution launched a new three-year postgraduate Doctor of Optometry program in 2021. Lim comes to the role after previously holding a similar role at Flinders University for three years, which ended in December 2022. He has held academic roles at The University of Melbourne and worked clinically in more than 50 practices across Victoria and South Australia. He is currently an Associate Editor for Clinical and Experimental Optometry journal.
Jane Schuller – Vision 2020 Australia
Jane Schuller has been elected as Deputy Chair of the Vision 2020 Australia Board. She has 25 years’ experience in eye health care and has already made a significant contribution to Vision 2020 and the sector overall as a current Vision 2020 Board Member, past President of Orthoptics Australia, Victorian Chair and several other state and federal roles. She is a qualified orthoptist in both Australia and the US and has had 10 years’ experience in large teaching eye hospitals and private ophthalmology practices. She continues to work at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and in several private ophthalmology practices.
David Sullivan – HOYA
David Sullivan has joined HOYA as a Queensland sales consultant. David has over 20 years of experience within the optical wholesale and retail market and qualifications in optical mechanics and dispensing. He looks forward to incorporating his vast optical experience in supporting and growing business for his Queensland customers.
