Skye Cappuccio – Council of Small Business Organisations Australia (COSBOA)
Skye Cappuccio has beeb appointed CEO of COSBOA, following the departure of former CEO Luke Achterstraat in September. Cappuccio, who will start at COSBOA on February 3, joins the peak small business advocacy group from the health and not-for-profit sectors and most recently served as the CEO of Optometry Australia. Cappuccio spent close to 14 years with Optometry Australia, including as general manager of policy, and has held senior policy roles at the Australian General Practice Network and Palliative Care Australia. Cappuccio will be the third CEO to lead COSBOA following the retirement of long-running CEO Peter Strong in mid-2021. Strong was replaced by Alexi Boyd, who served in the role until January 2023, before Achterstraat took the mantle in May that year.
Sanchia Aranda – Macular Disease Foundation Australia
Macular Disease Foundation Australia (MDFA) has announced Professor Sanchia Aranda AM as its new chair, following Graeme Head AO stepping down after four years in the role. Prof Aranda, who joined the MDFA board in 2025, brings extensive expertise across health, education, research, disability and the for-purpose sector. She has led organisational transformation, strengthened governance, championed consumer involvement in cancer research, and is highly experienced in leading public education campaigns. Currently chair of Scope Australia and the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre Alliance, Prof Aranda began her career in nursing and was the first nurse to lead Cancer Council Australia as CEO.
Graham Perrett – Vision 2020 Australia
Vision 2020 Australia has announced the appointment of Mr Graham Perrett as chair, following his election as a director at the organisation’s annual general meeting and his subsequent election as chair at it’s November board meeting. Perrett brings deep experience in health, education and community advocacy, shaped by 18 years as the federal member for Moreton. His leadership across parliamentary committees, his national and global advocacy in diabetes policy, and his long-standing commitment to inclusive, evidence-based health reform position him strongly to lead Vision 2020 Australia into its next chapter.
Elizabeth Kodari – EssilorLuxottica
Ms Elizabeth Kodari has recently been appointed vice president, store operations, EssilorLuxottica ANZ. Kodari joined the group as an OPSM optometrist in 2015, and has significantly contributed to the business in different capacities over the years, most recently leading the NSW, VIC, ACT and TAS optical teams. Mr Carl James, senior vice president, operations ANZ at EssilorLuxottica said he has had the privilege of working with Elizabeth over the years, and has no doubt her leadership and technical competencies will lead her and the team to many successes.
