Jaselle Muscat – Specsavers
Jaselle Muscat has recently taken on an expanded role as Head of Human Resources – Retail and Optics at Specsavers. Jaselle joins Rheannon Santamaria and Luke Caputo as combined Heads of Human Resources to drive Specsavers’ people initiatives forward. With nearly a decade of experience at Specsavers, Jaselle has developed a deep understanding of the organisation and has built strong, collaborative relationships at all levels, enabling her to implement effective HR strategies that drive business success. Working closely with the People Director, her expanded responsibilities will allow her to continue to lead and shape the people plans across Australia and New Zealand to ensure Specsavers remains an employer of choice in the competitive retail and optics landscape.
A/Prof Amanda French – University of Technology Sydney
A/Prof Amanda French is an academic and researcher in orthoptics and was appointed as Head of UTS Orthoptics in May 2024. A/Prof French has a clinical background in orthoptics, a Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies and a PhD on the epidemiology of childhood refractive errors from the University of Sydney. She has been Course Director and Responsible Academic Officer Teaching and Learning for the Master of Orthoptics course in the Graduate School of Health at UTS since 2014, and previously an academic in orthoptics at the University of Sydney.
Professor Kathryn Rose – University of Technology Sydney
Prof Rose was Head of Discipline (Orthoptics) at the University of Sydney and her current appointment at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) commenced in 2014, where she established a new school for orthoptics education in NSW. Retiring in March 2024, Professor Rose, now Adjunct Professor at the UTS Graduate School of Health, is working collaboratively with several national and international research groups as a leading international researcher on the development of vision and refractive errors in children and adolescents.
Dr Nishan Ramachandran – Vision Eye Institute
Dr Nishan Ramachandran is an internationally trained ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon committed to delivering world-class care to his patients. He specialises in cataracts, medical retina, vitreoretinal surgery and general ophthalmology and has extensive experience in retinal laser, all types of intravitreal injections and complex retinal detachment care. Dr Ramachandran is fluent in Tamil as well as English.
