Elizabeth Kodari & Sephora Miao – EssilorLuxottica
Elizabeth Kodari (left) has been promoted within the EssilorLuxottica ANZ business to the position of State Director for NSW/ACT. In other movements, the company has appointed Sephora Miao (right) as its new Eyecare Operations Senior Manager. In the role, she will oversee all aspects of the eyecare strategy for OPSM and Laubman & Pank. Miao was previously the Optometry Engagement Manager for EssilorLuxottica ANZ.
Sasha Sergejew – Rodenstock Australia
Sasha Sergejew is joining Rodenstock Australia as Lab Development Manager and is tasked with overseeing the opening of new Rodenstock glazing laboratories. Rodenstock’s mission is supporting independent optometry in Australia and is committed to improving and delivering the best possible service. Sergejew comes with over 40 years of experience in the optical industry, having worked both in manufacturing and retail settings. He possesses extensive knowledge in optics, business management, and customer relationships.
Grace Dobbins – Rodenstock Australia
Grace Dobbins is the new Rodenstock Sales Manager, leading the local Australia sales team. This appointment will also allow greater scope for Rodenstock Professional Services, which is headed by Nicola Peaper in Australia. Dobbins has experience across both professional and commercial facets. As a trained and therapeutically qualified optometrist, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for eye health. She has worked in corporate and independent optometry practices across various roles. Dobbins’ passion to drive key partnerships and sales by working closely with internal and external key stakeholders will be core to her role at Rodenstock.
Tatjana Miljevic – HOYA
Tatjana Miljevic has been appointed as the new NSW Sales Consultant for HOYA, effective 1 May 2023. She will be taking over this role as Raelene Soliven goes on maternity leave. With a background as a certified optical dispenser and extensive experience in retail and wholesale optics, safety eyewear, and frames, the company says Miljevic is equipped to provide excellent support to her NSW customers. She says she is looking forward to using her optical expertise to offer ongoing assistance and service to her NSW customers.
Murray Smith – Vision 2020 Australia
Melbourne optometrist Murray Smith has been co-opted on to the Vision 2020 Australia Board following a recent nomination and selection process. As a past Director and President of both Optometry Australia and Optometry Victoria, and past director of Optometry Victoria South Australia, he has worked in most states and territories in Australia and spent five years as a lecturer and clinical supervisor/assessor in Papua New Guinea.
Dale Cleaver – Vision 2020 Australia
Dale Cleaver has also joined the Vision 2020 Australia Board. He is the CEO of Guide Dogs NSW/ACT and is committed to making a difference and empowering people with disabilities. He also has experience in strategic, operational and transformational change to increase the quality of service-based organisations.
