Throughout O=MEGA23, Optos will be hosting training sessions on booth C6 aimed at those who want to learn more about ultra-widefield technology and Optos Advance software.
Hosted by Ms Renee Slunjski, an Optos regional product specialist and qualified optometrist, the sessions are designed for new optomap users or anyone wanting a refresher.
Delegates are encouraged to book a training session, as spots are limited and expected to fill fast.
In addition to hosting training at the Optos booth, Slunjski will also be leading a session on the importance of imaging the periphery at the O=MEGA23 Knowledge Centre on Sunday 10 September at 2pm.
In this session she will be shedding light on the significance of comprehensive peripheral retinal imaging in clinical practice. This event aims to raise awareness about the cutting-edge optomap technology and advancements that enable early detection and treatment of various ocular conditions.
Key highlights of Slunjski’s presentation include:
- Understanding the role of ultra-widefield imaging in diagnosing ocular diseases;
- Exploring the latest imaging techniques and optomap equipment used for assessments;
- Learning optimal methods in capturing ultra-widefield retinal scans;
- Understanding the physiology, interpretation and clinical significance of fundus autofluorescence and peripheral OCT;
- Discussing the benefits of looking beyond the posterior pole and why eyecare practitioners should examine and document the periphery on all their patients.
“We believe that this presentation will provide valuable insights and knowledge that will benefit both patients and practitioners alike. Renee will ensure you walk away with a sound understanding of ultra-widefield imaging, and how it could benefit your practice,” Optos said.
