Virtual optometry conference Optometry Virtually Connected is returning in June, with Optometry Australia (OA) securing a preeminent US academic in contact lenses and myopia as its keynote speaker, alongside other esteemed speakers.
Since its launch in 2020 in response to the initial COVID-19 outbreak, Optometry Virtually Connected has established itself as a leading optometric education forum in the Southern Hemisphere.
This year’s event – running Friday 17 – Sunday 19 June. – will feature a full virtual program, including more than 30 hours of quality-assured CPD across a live and on-demand program, with an additional education program delivered by event sponsors.
The conference will welcome keynote speaker Dr Noel Brennan, a preeminent US academic in contact lenses and myopia, alongside a line up of Australian and international speakers including University of Melbourne’s Associate Professor Laura Downie, UNSW’s Dr Pauline Kang and Associate Professor Maria Markoulli and BHVI’s Dr Angelica Ly.
OA stated that delegates would also have the opportunity to explore a virtual product showcase and learn about the latest clinical and patient management technology and products from leading optometric suppliers.
Registrations open in March and attendance is free for OA members.
