Queensland optometrist Ms Shaina Zheng is seeking participants for a research project focused on workplace culture, wellbeing, and motivation within independent optometry practices across Australia.
The project – undertaken as part of an MBA project at Queensland University of Technology for Zheng, an optometrist at Eyecare Plus Mermaid Beach – aims to better understand the experiences of practice teams and compare them with broader industry benchmarks.
“To support this, I’ve developed a short, anonymous, ethics-approved survey open to anyone working in independent optometry – owners, optometrists, dispensers, and support staff,” she said.
Participation will involve completing an online survey that will take approximately five minutes.
Questions will include: your role in independent optometry practice, as well as multiple choice questions to understand your experience in independent optometry practice.
There is also an opportunity for suggestions on improving culture, wellbeing in your independent optometry practice.
All comments and responses are anonymous.
