Australian-owned optical lens and equipment supplier Opticare is celebrating its 40th anniversary – and the company continues to prioritise innovation with the imminent launch of a new lens range.
Since it was established in 1984 by Mr George Nasser, the company has been aligned with the independent optical market in Australia.
“This marks a significant milestone in the journey of Opticare as we proudly celebrate our 40th anniversary. It’s a momentous occasion that fills me with gratitude and pride as the founder and director of this incredible organisation,” he said.
“Over the past four decades, Opticare has been dedicated to championing independent optometry in Australia. Our mission has always been to support optical practices in their growth, ensuring they thrive and continue to provide the best eyecare products and services to their valued patients.”
Opticare director Mr Michael Nasser, George’s son, said the company continued to look for opportunities to expand its offerings. Moreover, Opticare has hinted at a forthcoming range of new lens products which will be offered from 1 March. The lenses are said to be the product of optimised technologies, lens design analysis service, and data accumulated through the company’s decades-long existence.
“Our journey has been defined by resilience, adaptability, and a passion for excellence. As we look ahead, our team envisions new horizons, expanded services, and improved products,” he said.
George said the milestone is an opportunity to reflect on the countless relationships the company has built, the challenges it has overcome, and the positive impact made on the eyecare industry.
“This anniversary is not just a marker of time; it’s a testament to the collective efforts of the Opticare team and the unwavering support from our partners and clients. Thank you to all of you,” he said.
