Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription eyewear and contact lenses, ensuring a perfect fit and alignment with patients’ needs.
- Conduct comprehensive eyewear fittings and educate patients on lens options based on lifestyle needs
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain an organised and efficient dispensary.
- Coordinating Medicare submissions and DVA Claims
- Managing minor repairs in store
- Pre-testing when required
- Social Media – Facebook & Instagram (Desirable)
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Optical Dispenser or similar role in the optical industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Proficiency in using optical equipment and relevant computer software for dispensing and managing patient records.
- Knowledge of lens types, coatings, and frame styles to assist patients in making informed choices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced, patient-centric setting.
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as part of career advancement.
