Full-time optical dispenser, $60,000 – $70,000 per year
About the role
Madonna Rigney Optometry is seeking a skilled and experienced optical dispenser to join our team in East Brisbane, Queensland. As a qualified optical dispenser, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring our patients receive the best possible eyewear solutions to meet their needs. This is currently a 33 hour week including 3 hours on penalty rates on Saturday morning.
What you’ll be doing
- Selling up market frames and state of the art lenses to customers that suits their prescription, lifestyle and personal preferences
- Accurately measuring and fitting frames to ensure optimal comfort and appearance
- Advising patients on lens options, coatings and special features that may enhance their visual experience
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of the latest eyewear trends, technologies and industry regulations
- Providing exceptional customer service and addressing any queries or concerns from patients
- Collaborating with the optometrist and other team members to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintaining accurate records and inventory management
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an optical dispenser or in a similar customer-facing role within the optical industry
- Experience with Optomate Touch.
- Strong technical knowledge of eyewear, lens types and frame fitting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team
- A passion for providing exceptional customer service
