A great opportunity for a part-time optical dispenser/optical assistant has become available in my independent boutique practice in Sydney’s Inner East. As the first point of contact for our patients, you’ll play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while supporting the optometrist owner in a variety of tasks.
Established 26 years ago, we have built a reputation for providing excellent eyecare, dispensing fashionable, quality frames, sunglasses, lenses and personalised service.
The role involves the following:
• Retail experience. Frame and sunglass selection, a passion for beautiful and well-designed product.
• Optical abilities. Ordering lenses with online frame tracing. Fitting lenses and adjusting frames, minor frame repairs. Discussion and advice on all
types of lenses
• Admin. Familiarity with HICAPS and Medicare claiming, EFTPOS, using in-house practice management systems, and contribution to social media posting.
• Practice appearance. Helping with window displays and keeping practice in tip-top appearance.
• Self-motivation. Maturity and ability to work unsupervised at times.
• Professional, friendly & personable disposition.
