The Optometry Board of Australia-approved course, through which optometrists can become therapeutically qualified, provides flexible, self-paced learning and obviates the need for face-to-face classes. Having many elderly patients, this has been a godsend,” Savage said.“The course worked very well for rote learning. Having qualified overseas I was a little apprehensive in the style of lecturing in Australasia, especially having an online format. Nevertheless, the lectures and clinical placents together with the acadics presenting the course made it a worthwhile and enjoyable experience.”Aside from offering a pathway to a scheduled medicines endorsent for registered optometrists, the course also provides 80 CPD points upon completion.
