ODMA has announced new categories for its 2025 awards, with submissions opening in February.
A media release said the awards and new categories would give independent optical practices and suppliers “even more opportunities to shine”.
“In response to industry feedback, ODMA has introduced fresh categories such as Best Independent Practice Window Dressing, Versatile Frame of the Year, and Top Customer Service Team, expanding the platform for recognising excellence across a broader range of contributions.”
Other award categories include:
- Independent Practice of the Year: Recognising practices that excel in areas like renovations, customer service, and community involvement.
- Supplier of the Year: Highlighting the suppliers that provide exceptional support.
- Sales Representative of the Year: Celebrating reps who go above and beyond for independent practices.
- Instrument of the Year: Recognising equipment that makes a difference in patient care.
- Versatile Frame of the Year: Showcasing frames that stand out for their appeal, versatility, and adaptability.
The release issued a window dressing alert: “If you regularly update your displays, now’s the time to capture them – submit two images per practice for a chance to win Best Independent Practice Window Dressing.”
ODMA said the awards would take centre stage at the upcoming ODMAFair in June 2025.
“This event will be an unparalleled opportunity for the optical industry to come together and celebrate the achievements of independent practices and suppliers alike.
