Modstyle’s PRIDE frame is among four eyewear pieces recognised as part of ODMA’s awards program at O-SHOW24.
The piece received the 2024 Outstanding Frame – RRP under AU$300. This was in addition to Kahiko Maui Jim that was crowned the sunglass category winner under AU$300, as well as Sunshades Eyewear’s Nefertari – Camilla that won the AU$330 and over eyewear category and Noo’s Rocket Man Cutler & Gros that claimed the AU$300 and over sunglass award.
Judging occurred via a ‘people’s choice’ approach, with optometrists, optical retailing staff, and independent optical dispensers asked through ODMA’s print publication subscriber base, as well as social media and online channels, to vote for the nominated products.
Modstyle said the recognition highlighted the innovative design, vibrant aesthetics, and social impact of the PRIDE frame.
“We are incredibly proud to receive this award for our PRIDE frame,” said Modstyle CEO Mr Mark Wymond.
“This accolade reflects our commitment to creating high-quality, affordable eyewear that not only looks great but also makes a positive difference in the world. We sincerely thank everyone who voted for us and supported our mission.”
The frame, celebrated for its striking rainbow-coloured acetate, is said to embody inclusivity and diversity. Crafted using a complex lamination technique, it offers a unique, bold look that resonates with contemporary fashion trends. Beyond its stylish appearance, the ‘PRIDE’ frame supports a noble cause, with $5 from every sale donated to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
