The popular REVO OCT has a new ultra wide field (UWF) lens module, allowing practitioners to view a larger area of the retina, Australian supplier OptiMed has announced.
The new module attaches to any REVO FC, REVO FC-130 and REVO HR models, manufactured by Polish company Optopol.
“This feature provides a wide perspective of imaging up to ~105º in a single scan,” OptiMed stated.
“It allows you to image the macular area along with the far periphery, capturing the early stages of disease in the posterior part of the eye. The module also supports 3D imaging, with enhancement mode, and angio OCT for visualising perfusion problems in the periphery.”
According to a statement, the REVO FC, popular among Australian eyecare professionals, combines the world’s fastest SD-OCT with a non-mydriatic colour fundus camera, “ensuring best-in-class performance and ease of use”.
There are other key benefits to the device, including:
- Ease of Use: Featuring AccuTrack Eye Tracker, an all-new real-time hardware-based eye tracker that compensates for blinks, loss of fixation, and involuntary eye movements during OCT scanning. The Motion Correction software captures two scans and generates a motion-corrected scan where necessary.
- Automated: It simplifies operations with auto-position, auto-align, auto-focus, and auto-capture – all activated with a single button.
- A.I. technology: To obtain the highest quality images, practitioners can leverage A.I. Denoise, an advanced AI feature that removes noise from the tomogram.
- Customisable: There’s the ability to create custom preset groups of scans. The REVO FC will capture all scans in order, enhancing workflow efficiency.
- Integrated: With DICOM and EMR capabilities, users can quickly and easily export scans to a desired location.
- Monitoring capabilities: Baseline and follow-up scans can be gathered to monitor and manage disease progression in both posterior and anterior segments. The Structure and Function feature also combines PTS Visual Fields results for a comprehensive glaucoma solution.
