New focus sees George & Matilda invest in technology

One of the first practices to benefit from this renewed focus is the Westfield Liverpool location in NSW, which received new OCT equipment and a Zeiss Humphrey Visual Field Analyser as part of a four-week renovation. This can impact everything from learning and development in kids, to young people as they undertake tertiary studies or train on their first job.“Our investment in the new practice reflects our belief that specialist optometrists who know their local communities are best equipped to help educate about, as well as detect and manage, vision probls,” Beer added.Likewise, practice owner Ms Margaret Lam phasised the need to tackle diseases such as glaucoma and highlighted the importance of cooperation between healthcare professionals in managing preventable blindness.“This will ensure all healthcare practitioners are working together more to diagnose and manage preventable vision loss and improve the eye health of all our patients,” she said.“With this in mind we have rejuvenated the practice, and in particular, invested in new extra equipment to test for glaucoma to ensure all our patients are well looked after.”The company, which has grown rapidly since it launched in April last year, currently has 38 eyecare practices nationwide.
