O=MEGA PREVIEW: Good Optical Services will display NuLids, a simple at-home dry eye treatment, as well as a new Sterileyes antibacterial feature for the Eye Doctor Hot & Cold Eye Compress product.
Produced by NuSight Medical, the NuLids treatment requires only one minute a day. Its oscillating Soft Tip design works by gently stimulating and rejuvenating the patient’s meibomian glands, and has been shown to rove scurf, improve meibomian gland effectiveness, and increase meibomian output by 2×1.
Studies have also demonstrated a 65% improvement in tear film breakup time and an 81% increase in meibomian gland yielding liquid secretions in fewer than 30 days.
At O=MEGA stand I-04, Good Optical Services will also unveil Sterileyes, a new antibacterial shield cover that has been introduced to the Eye Doctor Hot & Cold Eye Compress.
Sterileyes has been clinically proven to kill 99.9% of bacteria. The patented solution is bound to the fibres of the fabric on the Eye Doctor mask to protect the eyes from potentially harmful bacteria. It also provides stain protection, extended product life and eliminates germs that synthesise fats and lipids, which create odour.
The Eye Doctor Hot & Cold Eye Compress, which now features a new-look packaging, can be used in microwave, freezer or oven. It is applied hot to alleviate dry eye symptoms, and cold to address inflammation, allergies and migraines.
