O=MEGA PREVIEW: Carl Zeiss Medical Technology’s prominence will be best donstrated through its array of ophthalmic diagnostic and imaging equipment at O=MEGA.A major focus on the Zeiss booth will be the Clarus 500, which is the company’s next generation, ultra-widefield fundus imaging syst that provides true colour and high-resolution across an ultra-wide image.Zeiss will also display its new testing protocol, SITA Faster 24-2C, for the Humphrey Field Analyzer 3 (HFA3) perimetry device. The product was released in Australia in February and rains in the early stages of a roll out to existing HFA3 customers.The 24-2C test adds 10 test points to the 24-2 pattern. These points have been selected to examine areas along physiologically relevant nerve fibre bundles known to be susceptible to glaucomatous defects.Zeiss will also showcase its OCT Angiography module, AngioPlex, and its newfound capabilities on the Cirrus HD-OCT 5000.Launched in 2015, the technology has previously been applied to retinal applications such as AMD and diabetic retinopathy.
