The merger of the two optical products and accessories companies combines a trading history of over 57 years; Aviva Optics operating for 32 years and Mann Optics for over 25 years.
The company’s brand portfolio includes exclusive brands such as recent ‘ODMA Award of Excellence’ winner in children’s frames Nano Vista, Centrostyle, Cocoons, Slastik and Progear Eyeguard.
“Rather than compete with each other on many of the products, it made sense to merge, therefore allowing us to increase our economy of scale,” Mr Andrew Banks, the company’s operations manager, said.
“The merger benefits clients by only having to contact one supplier to source the majority of their optical products and accessories from the one supplier.”
Warehousing and distribution operations will be based in Perth in a specialised warehouse and distribution centre that provides 24-hour turn-around and delivery
service for metropolitan clients across Australia. Both the Brisbane and Perth offices will be operating extended trading hours each day with customer service available from 8.30am EST (6.30am WST) to 6.30pm EST (4.30pm WST) each day.
