According to SILMO organisers Expertise Events, the party will be a relaxed affair with complimentary food and drinks, but no formal seating or presentations.Managing director of Expertise, Mr Gary Fitz-Roy, said he was expecting a big crowd for this year’s SILMO Luna Park party.“After the huge success of the Mega Rox Party, the challenge for this event was to come up with a venue destination that had the backdrop of Sydney’s famous landmarks and on one of the world’s best Harbours over laid with food, drink, entertainment and fun,” he said.Fitz-Roy confirmed he was in the process of finalising transportation plans, but said he anticipated a ferry service would carry guests from Darling Harbour to Luna Park.“We have listened to feedback and this year it will run the night before we close to allow maximum exhibitor participation,” he said.“There a number of international guests attending, and I am sure the industry will show why our part of the world is such a great place to visit.”Another change from last year is the addition of Optometry Australia (OA) as a co-host of both the party and SILMO Sydney itself. Earlier this year OA announced it had joined as a partner due to the event’s focus on future development and industry growth.Early bird tickets for the Luna Park party have been priced at $75 per head. SILMO Sydney will run from July 20–22 at the International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour.
