Heidelberg Engineering founder receives international award

Dr. John Flanagan, one of the founders of OGC presented the award to Dr Zinser during its Annual Scientific Meeting at Anaheim, California last year.{{quote-A:R-W:450-Q: Heidelberg Engineering became one of the leaders for world-class imaging solutions used by most eye-care professionals worldwide. }}The Founders’ Award has only been given to three other scientists for their significant contributions to glaucoma research since the OGS was first established.Flanagan, who is also dean of the School of Optometry at the University of California, Berkeley, said that the Zinser deserved the award due to his groundbreaking contributions to the practice of ophthalmology when Heidelberg Engineering, which he cofounded, developed the first diagnostic imaging device for testing glaucoma in 1991.Heidelberg Engineering became one of the leaders for world-class imaging solutions used by most eye-care professionals worldwide.Recently, Zinser was also elected as mber of The Ophthalmologist’s Power List as one of the top 100 most influential people in the world of ophthalmology.
