The university’s Flinders Vision optometry service – which has been in operation for the past six years – has been renamed Flinders Health2GO and repositioned to also provide physiotherapy, hearing and speech pathology services.The clinic, at the university’s Bedford Park campus in Adelaide, has been designed to combine the latest research and technology, and will train the next generation of health care professionals by offering placents for College of Nursing and Health Sciences students.The health centre will continue to offer its optometry services, as well as its diabetic eye clinic, and stroke and brain injury rehabilitation clinic. We are also in the process of expanding the range of services we offer to help meet some of the service gaps in the local health care market,” he said.Professor Alison Kitson, vice-president and executive dean of Flinders College of Nursing and Health Sciences, said the clinic would strengthen clinical training opportunities.“This is a great initiative for the public and for our students.
