ZEISS ANZ recently held three Experience Showcase events across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, featuring its expansive product portfolio and the first showing of its latest innovations in phacoemulsification and femtosecond laser technology.
These events were an opportunity for clinicians and hospital staff to gain hands-on experience with “the fully connected ZEISS portfolio”, an experience the company says has been in short supply of late due to many conferences and congresses moved to a virtual format.
After weeks of preparation, the company welcomed a consistent stream of attendees to the showcase events. The equipment and software on display demonstrated the fully connected workflow for retina, glaucoma, cataract and refractive.
Attendees experienced the Cataract Workflow, from IOLMaster 700 to software-based solutions facilitating cataract planning and seamless data transfer. ZEISS also demonstrated EQ Workplace and EQ mobile, all the way to the operating room with OPMI LUMERA 700 iOCT microscope (featuring CALLISTO eye and RESIGHT 700).
The company’s latest innovations were also on show, including the QUATERA 700 on display for the first time, with customer feedback reinforcing this as a seriously competitive offering in the phacoemulsification space, ZEISS stated.
Also featured were ZEISS Retina and Glaucoma Workflows, best in class OCT with CIRRUS 6000, premium optics with SL 800 slit lamp, ultra-widefield CLARUS imaging, VISULAS green therapeutic laser, Humphrey Field Analyzer 3 and software solutions with FORUM Retina Workplace and Glaucoma Workplace.
The VISUMAX800 made its Australian debut at these events, with a host of experts joining together for clinical discussions.
“This was a fantastic experience showcasing the latest in femtosecond technology to our Australian customers,” Mr John Ring, ZEISS business development manager for refractive Lasers, said.
“The VISUMAX 800 builds on over 10 years of experience and over 6 million SMILE procedures globally. A special thank you to our local speakers, global product manager Mr Burkhard Wagner and our local clinical application team in Jacqui Hannah and Tina Pham for their wonderful support.”
Practitioners can experience ZEISS workflows at a host of upcoming conferences in 2022.
